I am the CEO of the Ron Serna Anti-Bully Program. I created this program in 2018 because of the problems that students were having. I created this program because my step-children were being bullied to the point that my step-son, who is special needs, turned very violent. My step-daughter was 11 and she wrote a letter that she wanted to commit suicide. This was very devestating to me and I knew something had to be done.
The students in today's world are living with mixed emotions. We use our program to visit schools, libraries, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Scouts of America. This is an awareness program that can really captivate an audience.
Our key speaker is Dr. Robert Ornelas from Anaheim, California. He is from the SOG Crew. He is a religious Preacher, a Hip-Hop artist, and a man of many talents. We do not use religion in our program.
As for myself, I am a community advocate. I am on the Board of Directors for the Pueblo Conservancy District, former ParaProfessional for District 60, and I was a Security Guard at East High School in Pueblo, Colorado. I am a street smart individual who is vigilant of the problemssurrounding our community.
With the COVID-19 pandemic on the rise and the riots that are ongoing, the youth face a new change as the world changes. Academics in the school must still be achieved. With the recent lockdown of our nation, we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors at home. Our goal is to help the youth. Now more than ever, we must be allowed to visit the schools to help the youth as we all know it is not the same anymore.
The Ron Serna Anti-Bully Program is supported by our amazing team of regular and part-time volunteers who are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action.
